Have you ever had a question and either didn't know where to find the answer or were too afraid to ask? If so, you've come to the right place.
As the name would suggest, this section is a compilation of answers to the questions our clients commonly ask. Here you'll find answers to common questions our clients ask. Just start by following one of the links below.
- How long does it take for you to complete my order?
- Why do I need a proof?
- Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
- Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?
- How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
- How long does it take for you to complete my order?
All depends on what is involved. Since we work 2 shifts there is no one better prepared to deliver your printing when you require. Please discuss your needs with your representative. We will make every effort to produce your project when needed.
- Why do I need a proof?
Proofs ensure that we produce what you want. When you provide an electronic file we depend on your examination of a proof to ensure that there have been no "electronic glitches". Sometimes, for unknown reasons, files don't always perform as desired. Check for correct photo's, correct type fonts, that changes you made have remained "made".
There are several types of proofs. We will provide a proof that matches your needs.
ON-LINE Proofing - Clients request on-line proofing when checking type changes and and layout. It does not accurately represent the way the color will print.
IMPROOF Color Proofs - Color Laser proof to show type and art changes. Inexpensive and not color accurate. This is best when we are to match a previously printed sample for color.
EPSON Color Proofs - High Quality proof that represents the way your project will print on press. Not inexpensive but cheaper than reprinting!
Discuss proofing with your Hartley representative for best results.
- Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
We employ human beings to produce your work and, last time we checked, humans are not perfect. Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.
- Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?
Yes! Electronics don't always work the way we expected. Proofing is prudent at every step of the production process.
- How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
Well, since you are here, we would suggest you use our online estimate request form. Otherwise, the best way to ensure that we get all the information necessary to furnish you with an accurate quotation is to give us a call and talk with one of our customer service representatives. We will be happy to have a Sales Person stop by and speak with you in person, if you like.
